We are seeking a full-time Buyer to provide procurement support to our Supply Chain and Operations teams. This role leverages Production Schedules and Project Plans to ensure material requirements are met in alignment with customer commitments and plant needs.The Buyer will collaborate closely with internal stakeholders and external suppliers, spending time both within our ERP system and on the shop floor to ensure materials are aligned with production schedules and operational priorities. We collaborate with architects, engineers, and builders to create innovative, sustainable, and buildable timber solutions that redefine modern construction.Role Summary:Identify and flag material shortages; expedite orders as required.Support cycle counts and inventory verification activities.Use Bills of Materials and ERP systems to create RFQs, evaluate cost and schedule, and recommend supplier awards.Convert requisitions into purchase orders in accordance with the fiscal approval matrix.Track purchase orders, monitor delivery timelines, and communicate with suppliers.Update purchase orders as required due to design or scope changes.Maintain ERP accuracy, including aging requisitions, PO due dates, site kit materials, and inventory levels aligned with production allocations.Create and manage site kits for designated product lines, ensuring documentation accuracy and required approvals.Partner with the Inventory Coordinator to ensure materials are properly transacted and inventory levels remain accurate.Manage replenishment for specific product lines using a Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) model.Monitor EOQ and ROP levels, validate supplier invoices, and oversee stocking levels.Work directly with suppliers to ensure seamless material flow and prevent stockouts.Perform other related duties as assigned by management to support departmental and organizational goals.Qualifications & Experience:A combination of relevant education, training, and experience will be considered.Post-secondary Business degree preferred.35 years of experience in a Supply Chain or Purchasing role within a manufacturing environment.Experience in a job shop or Engineer-to-Order (ETO) environment.Experience working with Bills of Materials and customer demand planning.Strong understanding of ERP systems, including how data inputs and outputs integrate across functions.Knowledge of procurement best practices for direct materials and/or MRO.ERP experience required; Infor ERP experience is an asset.Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with engineers, managers, and suppliers.Proficiency in Microsoft Office required; advanced Excel skills are considered an asset.Excited to join us?
