Automotive, Rail and Transportation to Information Systems and Telecommunications, our unwavering commitment to excellence shaping the future of technology and industry.Job Title: AI Workflow Developer / EngineerSeniority Level: Senior (5+ years experience, minimum 2 years on relevant technologies)Location: Vancouver - 2 days onsite per weekRole OverviewThe AI Workflow Developer will design, build, and maintain AI-driven workflows and solutions, ensuring adherence to best practices in AI development, security, and DevOps. This role involves close collaboration with Data Scientists and cross-functional teams to deliver production-grade, scalable, and resilient systems.Key ResponsibilitiesBuild and Code:Develop AI workflows following established AI processes and standards.Conduct unit tests, security checks, and maintain comprehensive documentation.Delivery Management:Organize work to meet delivery timelines and proactively address challenges.Participate in end-to-end testing to ensure production-grade quality (performance, stability, scalability).Collaboration & Integration:Work closely with Data Scientists to implement new workflows integrating AI models into applications and solutions.Integrate DevOps concepts and tools to provide an agile and scalable environment.System Design & Development:Contribute to the design, development, and evolution of microservices, APIs, and reusable libraries for mission-critical environments.Develop and evolve back-end components for algorithm execution.Standards & Innovation:Participate in technological watch and define development standards for efficiency, resilience, and sustainability.Candidate RequirementsMust-Haves (35):5+ years of experience in software engineering and AI-related development.Strong understanding of Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence.Knowledge of Generative AI and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG).Familiarity with MLOps best practices.Experience with software engineering life cycle and agile methodologies.Skilled in developing complex services using Docker and FastAPI.Hands-on experience with modern DevOps tools (GitLab CI/CD, Grafana, ELK stack).Working knowledge of streaming and batch processing systems (Kafka).Nice-to-Have:Advanced knowledge of Generative AI and RAG.Deep understanding of MLOps best practices.Tools / Technologies:Programming: Python, GitCloud: AWS (ECR, ECS, SQS, Lambda, CloudWatch)Infrastructure: TerraformFront-End: React, TypeScriptSoft Skills:Customer-driven mindsetExcellent communication and collaboration skillsWhy Join Us?ALTEN Canada fosters a dynamic, collaborative work environment where every team member is empowered to reach their full potential.
