Located in Montreal, Quebec, the Institute is the research arm of the McGill University Health Centre (MUHC) affiliated with the Faculty of Medicine at McGill University. The RI-MUHC is supported in part by the Fonds de recherche du Qubec Sant (FRQS). Position Summary The RSN's mission is to act as a catalyst for the development of digital health research in Quebec, in order to guide an open, inclusive, trusted and sustainable digital health transformation. This mission is fundamentally transversal, and the RSN aspires to collaborate with all FRQS thematic networks, as well as with other health research networks in Quebec, Canada and internationally. The RSN's objectives are: to consolidate the digital health research ecosystem to network the digital health research environment to forge closer links with stakeholders, decision-makers and civilians The RSN is seeking a dynamic and organized Communications and Events Specialist to lead its external communications and event coordination. The candidate will support and report to the Director and Co-Directors of the RSN and will be responsible for communications on behalf of the RSN, and organizing events such as conferences, webinars and workshops. This role is ideal for someone who is proactive, detail-oriented, and comfortable representing the organization publicly, and who is skilled at translating complex or technical content into clear, engaging language, and managing both digital and in-person communications. General Duties Communication & Public Relations Define a communication strategy aligned with the organization's objectives, ensure narrative consistency Audience mapping, message architecture, editorial calendar, channel mix, campaigns, issue and stakeholder management Develop and manage content for newsletters, email updates, and member communications Manage the RSNs social media presence (LinkedIn) Represent the RSN in public-facing contexts and communications Design & Digital Content Create engaging visuals using tools like Canva, Adobe Express for events, presentation templates and reports Help maintain and update the RSNs website Support brand consistency across all platforms and communications Events Management and Knowledge Mobilization Ensure the participation of key groups Plan and coordinate events (conferences, workshops, webinars) to support knowledge-sharing and engagement Manage event logistics (scheduling, venues, speakers, promotion) Collaborate with partners and stakeholders to execute successful events Website Education / Experience Education: Bachelor's Degree Field of Study: Communications, Journalism or a degree in a scientific discipline with strong communications experience from a work environment Work Experience: 3-5 years Experience organizing events Experience with social media management, newsletter tools (MailChimp) and basic web-editing Experience with graphic design tools like Canva or Adobe Express Experience in working in health and research sectors Required Skills Excellent French and English, spoken and written Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently or with teams with minimum supervision Strong organizational and time-management skills Knowledge in digital health Additional Information Status: Temporary, full time (35-hour workweek); This position may be temporary part-time, depending on the candidates availability. Pay Scale: $55,692.00 - $103,412.40.
