Job Description

The Human Resources & Payroll function at CDC is a varied role, ideal for someone working in payroll or human resources who is looking to lead these functions at an organization and contribute to the further development of human resources policies and procedures.This role will work closely with the Office Administrator, and the exact responsibilities will be determined in part by the skillset and expertise of the successful candidate. For example, if the successful candidate is more focused on Human Resources and People Operations, the payroll function will be primarily handled by the Office Administrator.Examples of the responsibilities of the role include:Administer payroll in accordance with the applicable laws and regulationsEmployee onboarding, orientation and offboardingCoordination of employee performance reviews and disciplinary actionCoordination of recruiting and hiring effortsEvaluation and development of the human resources function at CDCInvolvement in the following areas: -Planning and execution of company events -Backfill coverage of the accounting team (as required) -Office managementThe requirements of this role can vary and the specific responsibilities will be tailored to suit. Some of the experience that would best suit this role would be:Payroll coordination, particularly in a construction or hourly environmentBackground in Accounts PayableHuman Resources/People Operations experienceOther skills/experience/traits that will be important to this role include:Previous experience with UKG or a similar HRIS/payroll softwareApproachable and personableA desire to take ownership of the payroll and/or HR functionThis is an excellent role for anyone looking to have a direct impact on the success of an established organization with a strong culture and supportive team!
