Our continued growth is driven by innovation, operational excellence, and a deep commitment to our customers and partners worldwide.We are currently looking for a detail-oriented, disciplined and highly motivated Shift Supervisor for the afternoon shift from 2:30 pm to 12:00 am. The working days are Monday to Friday.Primary Focus:Supervises the daily activities of a production area to ensure that volume, cost, waste, and quality standards are achieved. Coordinates work schedules, staffing requirements, and production sequences to maximize productivity. Monitors production activity, identifies process problems, troubleshoots causes and develops solutions. Suggests improvements to improve efficiencies or safety. Delivers and coordinates staff training and on-boards new staff. Ensures all safety policies and processes are followed per the BRC standards set forth for quality, safety, compliance, and operational criteria.The Role:Completes daily startup of packaging machinesEnsures film for all the lines is supplied, based on daily production scheduleReturns film to correct location after production is completedProvides the Production Supervisor with the 1st bag after each film change and before start of packingMonitors packaging weight within outlined weight tolerances.Verifies Lot numberVerifies quality of packagingEnsures that correct film is used for each product and reports daily usage of film accuratelyReports if incorrect product, packaging material or incorrect information was usedUnderstands the production schedule, and priority of processingEnsures that daily packing volumes are metEnsures that equipment on all the lines operate smoothly, troubleshoots when required. Reports to supervisor if Technical Support is requiredProvides attention to all production processes to ensure they are carried out in agreement with outlined procedures and policiesPerforms the mixing with other employees based on mixing instructionsEmployee Collaboration:Communicates clear expectations for work outcomes to team membersSchedules overtime or hiring temporary staff members to meet production goals or handle seasonal workloadsManages employee performance to ensure that they are meeting standards and completing tasks in a timely mannerEscalates concerns about an employees performance to the production manager/ plant manager if performance issues canSafety, Training & Processes:Responsible for supporting safe, respectful, and productive work environmentEnsures that Safety, Production and Accuracy standards are met and provides attention to all production processes to ensure they are carried out in agreement with safety and policiesUpdates forms that are required for BRC program - Daily Knife Control Sheet, Daily Cleaning log, Check weightier, Metal Detector, Daily production logTrains new employees on the job duties and safety procedures for their positionQualifications:Knowledge & ExperienceStrong knowledge of Packaging Equipment, processing, and hands on experience with troubleshooting5+ years of experience supervising in a manufacturing environmentExperience in MS Suite - Word, Excel, and OutlookSkillsAbility to prioritize in fast-paced environmentStrong communication skills: ability to communicate information clearlyAbility to work collaboratively as a teamExcellent organizational and interpersonal skillsFast learner and quick thinkerResults oriented with a problem-solving attitudeEducation & CertificationsHigh school diploma or GEDAgrocrop Exports Ltd. is an equal opportunity employer committed to diversity and inclusion.
