Key Job Responsibilities Observe daily floor activities and workflow of Technicians to ensure that all equipment and services are delivered on time, in good working condition, and as specified by clients and the hotel. Participate in and delegate tasks as appropriate. Provide operational support during events. Practice and execute the company sales process through advanced client contact. Learn to review quotes and provide recommendations for cost efficiencies in accordance with the companys standard operating procedures. Solicit and secure business for Encore through a proactive, consultative sales approach. Improve and leverage the location and propertys market position and share. Provide outstanding customer service by establishing excellent working relationships with internal and external clients, team members, neighbouring Encore properties and all vendors. Meet with customers to ensure that their needs are met and the equipment setup is working properly. Job Qualifications College or university graduate preference for Media Production, Hospitality, Business/Management, Communications, Theatre or related field. At least 1 year professional work experience or a combination of employment/internships. Prior experience in management, operations, technology and/or hospitality preferred. Strong interest in a management career with the opportunity for advancement and promotion. Excellent communication, listening and presentation skills. Effective leadership abilities and customer satisfaction focus. Technical aptitude demonstrated through interest and exposure to new technology. Ability to work at a hotel location within major metro markets. Willingness to relocate within Canada. Final compensation is based on a number of factors including location, travel, relevant work experience or particular skills and expertise. In addition, some positions may be eligible for other compensation such as potential overtime, bonuses or incentives. Locations Canada Vancouver Canada Toronto Canada Montreal Work Environment Hotel Work is performed in a hotel/convention centre environment with moderate exposure to outdoor temperatures, dirt, sand and/or dust. The working conditions may vary from moderately quiet to noisy volumes. Team members will use highend audiovisual equipment and electrical components, and may be exposed to heights via lifts and ladders. Team members may be asked to work in multiple hotel locations. Working times will include irregular hours and oncall status including days, evenings, weekends and holidays. Team members must adhere to appearance guidelines as defined by Encore based on an individual hotel or a representation of hotels in that city or area. Work Environment Warehouse Work is performed at event venues as well as in a warehouse environment.
