This role requires on-site presence three days a weekTuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. Primary responsibilities include resolving costing discrepancies, completing all costing after receiving the docket from Planners, ensuring accurate and timely job costing for invoicing, maintaining work in process on a current basis, and assisting the Controller and Accounting Manager with monthend related duties. This position is a replacement due to an internal transfer, promotion, or departure. Salary range: $50,000 $60,000 per year, commensurate with experience, education, and internal equity. Responsibilities When your actions lead to success: Review all jobs to ensure reasonable costs exist for prep time, press time, finishing, shipping, plates, inks, paper, and outside work. Conduct 3-way Match and ensure costed jobs are audit complaint. Research discrepancies in costs and discuss with various department managers & project managers. Ensure selling price accuracy in system. Assist Data/Costing Clerk with day to day costing issues as required. Reconcile freight invoices against project & upload the cost to ERP. Participate in quarterly & monthly inventory counts. Adhoc requests such as entering Time Sheets into ERP etc. Other Analysis and support, as required (e.g., Create & circulate Production reports). Prepare the weekly, monthly KPA & metrics reports if required. Maintain quality standards as per written or verbal instructions and follow all SOPs applicable to the work assigned. Work as part of a team, follow and adhere to Transcontinentals code of ethics and participate in Continuous Improvements efforts. Fully understand and adhere to all relevant Environmental, Health and Safety, Human Resources, Continuous Improvement, Security and Company policies and procedures. Work in compliance with the Occupational Health & Safety Act of Ontario, the Workplace Safety Insurance Act and all other applicable legislated environmental, health & safety regulations. Qualifications Post secondary education along with a minimum of two (2) years accounting experience. Knowledge of accounting and controls. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required.
