Mobile Security - Experience Required We are looking for experienced Security Officers to join our Tactical Mobile team! In this role, your main objective is the prevention and elimination of criminal activity in Victoria. You will be conducting and coordinating emergency responses to alarms, reporting security breaches and property damage, and directing unauthorized individuals to leave the premises. You will be driving a Paladin vehicle and also conducting foot patrols inside and outside of facilities, up and down stairs, and over uneven surfaces and terrains. This team works throughout the Greater Victoria Region, but your shifts will start and end at the base site in Victoria. Your pay rate will start at $25.00/hour $27.00/hour depending on your position and completion of training, and you will be working 12hour shifts on a rotational basis. Responsibilities Conduct regular patrols and surveillance of client facilities; provide access control as needed Respond to alarms, accident calls, and emergencies at client facilities within designated time frames Escalate and report issues to the Security Command Centre in a timely manner Dispatch and work with first responders (police / fire / ambulance) Write thorough, detailed incident reports for security incidents or damaged properties that occur during shift Build rapport with surrounding businesses to heighten the level of security Provide preliminary technical analysis to help troubleshoot security systems Maintain a good rapport with all Paladin employees and client staff Use discretion when handling confidential information Handle all incidents in a professional and calm demeanor Other duties as required to meet operational demands Requirements Minimum of 2 years of work experience in the security industry Valid Class 5 BC Driver's License and a clean driving abstract Availability to work 12hour overnight shifts on a 4day rotation Experience in handcuff training/use and selfdefense; Advanced Security Training (AST) is preferred, but training will be provided to successful candidates Occupational First Aid Level 2 (IFA) certification is an asset; training will be provided to the successful candidates Ability to lead, plan, organize, delegate and problemsolve Exceptional customer service, professionalism, and communication (both verbal and written) skills Strong computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook Postsecondary education in Criminology & Law Enforcement is an asset Must be legally authorized to work in Canada Benefits and EEO Statement Paladin Security: Making the World a Safer and Friendlier Place because we CARE!
