Permanent employment Full time Job Description Check dozers, loaders, tractor trailers, dump trucks and other heavy equipment for proper performance and inspect equipment to detect faults and malfunctions Diagnose faults or malfunctions using computerized and other testing equipment to determine extent of repair required Adjust equipment and repair or replace defective parts, components or systems, using hand and power tools Test repaired equipment for proper performance and to ensure that work meets manufacturers specifications Clean, lubricate and perform other routine maintenance work on equipment Service attachments and working tools such as blades, ploughs, winches and side booms. Skills & Experience Required English speaking and French (optional) Journeyperson with valid red seal license. Organized, good with paperwork and used to a fast-paced environment Must possess a valid drivers license minimum class 5 with a clean drivers abstract. Own tools would be an asset Work in the field and Whitehorse, willingness to work in adverse weather conditions and travel to remote sites. Ability to pass pre-employment drug test. Committed to safety Standard First Aid & CPR WHMIS 2015 Salary: $45 to $60 per hour depending on experience and own tools.
