job details Are you a Senior Accountant who wants to look beyond the spreadsheet and understand the operations behind the numbers? We are partnering with a growing Food Manufacturing company to find a Senior Accountant who bridges the gap between Finance and Operations. Reporting to the Financial Controller, this is a hybrid role that combines core financial reporting with highvalue cost accounting and inventory analysis. If you enjoy walking the plant floor, analyzing margins, and using data to drive business decisions, this is the role for you. Advantages Competitive base salary Annual bonus Health and Dental program Support for CPA annual dues Free parking, onsite Employee discount Responsibilities Own the G/L: Manage the daytoday accounting cycle, including monthend close, GL accuracy, and balance sheet reconciliations Analyze the Costs: Dive deep into standard costing, labor, overhead, and production variances to help the business understand where money is being made (or lost) Manage Inventory: Lead inventory reconciliation and valuation, ensuring the numbers match the physical reality of the warehouse Drive Decisions: Partner with the Operations and Supply Chain teams to provide gross margin analysis by product and channel Improve Systems: act as a key user for the ERP system (Business Central) and champion process improvements Qualifications 37 years of accounting experience (Manufacturing or Inventoryheavy industries are a must) Strong understanding of Cost Accounting (Standard costing, BOMs, variances) Proficiency in Excel (Pivot tables, VLOOKUPs) and ERP systems (Microsoft Business Central is a massive plus) CPA designation (or currently in progress) A personality that thrives on collaborationyou arent afraid to ask 'why' to the operations team Summary If this sounds like an exciting opportunity and a great match for you, and you are ready for a new challenge, please apply to or share with your network, today!
