As an RPN, youll provide handson nursing care, administer medications, support and supervise care staff, and ensure resident wellbeing while maintaining compliance with healthcare standards and fostering clear communication.Job DutiesAs an RPN is responsible for executing all assigned duties in compliance with relevant legislation, Omni standards, policies, and procedures. your responsibilities will include:Ensure implementation of all applicable standards and regulations, including The NursingHomes Act, Long Term Care Program Standards, and Canadian Council on Health ServiceAccreditation Standards within the nursing department.Train, supervise, and assist in evaluating the performance of non-registered nursing staff,in collaboration with the Director of Care and Registered Nurse. Document and report personnel issues to the Director of Care or designated authority.initiate disciplinary actions when necessary, according to home policies.Reinforce acceptable behavior and performance standards among staff throughcoaching and reinstruction.Perform professional nursing duties and adhere to the Standards of Practice establishedby the College of Nurses of Ontario.Administer medications and provide direct nursing care and treatments as directed bythe Director of Care and Registered Nurse.Monitor resident care delivery by all staff, ensuring compliance with physician orders andcare plans; promptly address and correct any deficiencies.Establish and maintain effective communication with medical personnel, healthcarespecialists, management, Ministry of Health officials, social workers, residents, families,and other stakeholders to promote continuity and quality of care.Maintain security of the facility by responsibly managing keys and safeguardingequipment and supplies.Represent the home at community and professional meetings; actively participate inworkshops, inservice education sessions, and other relevant meetings.QualificationsCompletion of an approved Practical Nursing ProgramRegistered and in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario.Experience in longterm care or geriatrics is an assetCurrent CPR certification.Additional InformationThe PerksCompetitive PayFlexible SchedulingSupportive Work Environment with ongoing training, mentorship, and opportunitiesOnsite parkingHow to Apply HereOmni Quality Living is an equal opportunity employer and is committed to fostering an inclusive, accessible work environment.
