About The Role The Physiotherapist plays a key role in supporting children, their families, and caregivers by completing assessments and delivering direct intervention and consultation services. Guided by a family-centred and strengths-based approach, the Physiotherapist helps each child reach their fullest potential. This solecharge position works collaboratively within the Early Intervention Team and reports to the Manager, Child and Youth Services. What Youll Do Deliver physiotherapy services that reflect SCCSS policies, best practices, and a familycentred, strengthsbased approach. Work collaboratively with the interdisciplinary team to support children and their families. Manage caseloads effectively, including prioritization, treatment planning, waitlist oversight, data tracking, and evaluation. Complete specialized assessments and provide individualized, goaldirected treatment programs. Equip families and caregivers with the skills and confidence to actively participate in their childs progress. Maintain accurate and uptodate client records in accordance with program manuals, SCCSS policies, and CPTBC standards. Participate in relevant meetings, clinics, and outreach services as needed. Stay current with emerging research and best practices in physiotherapy to enhance service quality. Collaborate with SCCSS programs to strengthen integrated service delivery and support organizational goals. Work with the Program Manager to develop program standards, reporting tools, monitoring frameworks, and evaluation processes, while supporting a positive learning environment for students and volunteers. Ensure services meet SCCSS policies, legal and contractual requirements, and accreditation standards, including CARF. Perform other related duties as assigned to support effective and responsive service delivery. What You Bring A degree in Physiotherapy from an accredited university program. Eligibility for CPA membership and active registration with CPTBC. A minimum of one year of experience in physiotherapy; paediatric experience is preferred. Strong understanding of relevant local, provincial, and federal legislation. Experience working respectfully and effectively with individuals from diverse cultural, ethnic, and socioeconomic backgrounds. Experience in program planning, evaluation, and report writing. Experience in the nonprofit sector (an asset). Flexibility to work occasional evenings and weekends based on client and program needs. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and experience using electronic client record systems. Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
