Pay Rate: $75.00/hour Location: Kitimat, BC Shift: Monday to Friday | 40hrs/week Job type: Temporary | Fulltime Responsibilities Responsible for the safe delivery of the project on the field. Responsible for the quality execution of the works on the field to meet standards and scope. Assists the project manager in planning the project both in preexecution (in feasibility) and during execution stage. Assists Project Managers in reviewing the project deliverables before commencing execution. Assists Project Managers in reviewing the project schedules before and during execution. Collects and maintains records to support the Project Managers assessment of all claims involving cost, quality, and time. Supports the HSE Coordinator in incident investigations. Supports Project Managers in evaluating and selecting contractors and suppliers for the project. Monitors construction activities to ensure these meet technical specifications and the clients requirements. Ensures controls and processes are implemented throughout construction execution (daily/weekly reports, schedule lookaheads, contractor resourcing plan, rash maps among other tools). Reviews contractors execution plan, including work methodologies, safety management plans, risk assessment, mitigation plan among other contractual deliverables. Reviews project schedules and flags discrepancies/variances to the approved plan to the Project Manager and Construction Coordinator. Participates in design and constructability reviews. Participates in Project Risk Assessments (PSRAs), Hazard and Operability Analysis (HAZOPs), Hazard Identification Study (HAZIDs), and Failure Modes, Effects, and Criticality Analysis (FMECAs). Reviews and acknowledges daily work permits, JHAs and any other field documentation to ensure controls are in place for safe work completion. Receives, validates, and communicates all daily progress updates. Completes a daily report noting the works of the day, number of contractors and any other critical details to support the Project Manager in managing the works. Organizes handover to Operations final walkdown. Participates in kickoff, toolbox and daily safety prestat meetings. Qualifications At least 10+ construction supervision experience in a heavy industry sector. Trade certificate or tertiary qualifications in Mechanical or Electrical discipline is desirable. Extensive experience in reading and interpreting construction plans and specifications. Demonstrated problemsolving skills and the ability to handle challenges that may arise during construction. Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering highquality results. Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Project, Excel and Outlook. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Drive construction activities by finding alternative works and optimized solutions to meet project and client requirements. Proven analytical problemsolving skills relating to scheduling performance and reporting. Must be legally eligible to work and reside in Canada.
