Oxford Learning North York Lawrence Plaza is hiring a part-time tutor to work with high school students in chemistry and biology. If you''re warm, patient, and love helping teens feel confident in science, this could be a great fit for you. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys teaching but doesn''t want the stress of planning our programs are fully pre-designed. We provide all training in our proven teaching methods and support you with ongoing coaching. Who You Are You''re friendly, approachable, and students find you easy to talk to. You''ve been described as nurturing, dependable, and someone who brings positive energy into the room. Position Requirements Availability: Evenings Tuesdays and Thursday 3:30-8pm a must. Additional availability Mondays, Wednesdays & Saturdays (9:00 am2:00 pm) an asset. A commitment through the school year is preferred; summer continuation is a bonus Location: In-person only at our North York Lawrence Plaza location. This is not an online role. Other: Must be available for a consistent weekly schedule. Must reside in, or with a short commute to Lawrence Plaza, Toronto. A Vulnerable Sector Screening will be required. Vulnerable sector screening is required Qualifications Education: Bachelor''s degree in a relevant field Fourth-year university students with strong tutoring experience are welcome OCT or teaching certification is an asset Strong knowledge of Grades 912 chemistry and biology curricula Experience & Skills: Experience tutoring or teaching high school students in science Strong communication and interpersonal skills Comfortable guiding up to 3 students at a time Able to balance teaching and creating a positive, supportive environment Your Role at Oxford Learning You''ll work as an Interactive Coach, guiding students through lessons, encouraging their progress, and celebrating their wins. Responsibilities include: Teaching students one-on-one and in small groups (up to 3 at a time) Delivering in-person and occasional online sessions Using Oxford Learning''s pre-designed materials Providing feedback after each session Keeping communication with students and families warm and consistent Why Join Our Team?
