This is an executional role, responsible for planning, publishing, and monitoring social and digital content that fosters community engagement, supports internal campaigns, and reflects institutional tone and standards. Working closely with the Digital Engagement Specialist, the Coordinator helps ensure alignment between internal and external platforms but focuses primarily on tactical execution, descriptive reporting, and day-to-day content delivery for internal audiences. Nature of work: The position reports to the Manager, Integrated Communications & Engagement. Responsibilities/accountabilities: 1. Social Media Community Engagement Plans, schedules, and publishes content across student and employee-facing social channels Monitors comments, messages, and engagement, providing timely and professional responses Covers on-campus events to capture and share timely digital content Identifies and escalates reputational or sensitive issues to the Director 2. Content Creation & Digital Storytelling Creates photos, graphics, and short-form videos for student and employee audiences Develops stories for newsletters, blogs, MyOntarioTech, and the mobile app Curates content to promote student life, services, and internal events 3. Trend Monitoring & Analytics Reporting Tracks post and campaign performance using Meltwater, Hootsuite, and native dashboards Summarizes engagement and sentiment metrics for supervisors Recommends small-scale optimizations based on analytics 4. Collaboration & Capacity Building Works with Student Services, HR, Advancement, and internal partners to promote events and initiatives Reviews student and/or employee contributions to internal-facing channels. Collaborates with the Digital Engagement Specialist to align tone and overall approach Required Skills: Strong organizational and interpersonal skills with the ability to manage competing deadlines Required Education: Completion of a three-year diploma or degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, or related field. An equivalent combination of education and related experience may be considered. * Verification of Academic credentials may be required Required Experience: 1-3 years of experience managing branded/institutional social media Required Knowledge: Strong skills in writing, editing, and content creation for digital audiences Proficiency in Canva, CapCut, and working knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud Familiarity with accessibility standards (AODA), inclusive digital practices, and analytics dashboards How to Apply: Interested candidates should submit in electronic format a covering letter and their resume.
