Your opportunity: This position provides an opportunity to join the Office of the Registrar and Student Services (ORSS) at the Daniels Faculty. Reporting to the Registrar & Director of Student Services, the Assistant Registrar, Admissions plays an integral role within the ORSS team by coordinating the day-to-day administrative tasks required to support and manage all undergraduate and graduate admissions processes and procedures. This includes advising potential applicants, assessing their academic transcripts for admissibility, organizing all applications for completeness as well as managing all decisions and on admission transfer credits. Your responsibilities will include: Interpreting academic regulations, program and degree requirements Advising potential applicants, students, parents, and/or guidance counselors on admissions criteria and processes by probing and providing a range of options and possible consequences Analyzing, scoring and ranking incoming applications Keeping well-informed on University programs, policies and procedures Analyzing service delivery and/or internal processes and recommending improvements Determining logistical details required for the execution of admissions processes Implementing plans and process improvements for administrative workflow Analyzing statistical information to inform admissions projections and planning activities Essential Qualifications: Bachelor''s degree or acceptable combination of equivalent experience. Minimum four (4) years of recent experience administering admissions in a post-secondary environment Experience academic advising to undergraduate and/or graduate students Experience assessing admission files and transcripts from all over the world Experience creating documentation and/or training materials and developing and delivering presentations and workshops Experience Interpreting and applying academic policies and procedures High degree of computer literacy, including word processing, spreadsheets, and database program Strong knowledge of ROSI (Repository of Student Information) system Familiarity with admission databases (e.g., Online Admissions Application, Nolij, Slate, JOIN) and Enrolment Services File Share Ability to interpret and apply complex policies and procedures Ability to solve complex problems involving diverse individual and group needs Ability to identify systemic barriers to student access to education and student access to financial aid Demonstrated commitment to high quality services and openness to students froma wide variety of backgrounds and orientations Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality, tact, and discretion; familiarity with FIPPA (Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act) Trained in SafeTalk Ability to work evenings and weekends for peak admission periods and events, and occasional travel for business purposes Assets (Nonessential): Relevant experience within a University Registrarial or Faculty office Relevant experience interpreting and applying academic policies and procedures within the University of Toronto Experience in website content management Trained in ASIST (Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training) To be successful in this role you will be: Communicator Diplomatic Meticulous Problem solver Self-directed Team player Closing Date: 01/22/2026, 11:59PM ET Employee Group: USW Appointment Type: Budget - Term Schedule: Full-Time Pay Scale Group & Hiring Zone: USW Pay Band 12 -- $81,312. with an annual step progression to a maximum of $103,986.
