If you're passionate about hospitality and thrive in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment, wed love to have you on board!Job SummaryThe Regional Hygiene Manager is the Specialist on Food Safety working with HQ Department Heads, Regional and Country teams to drive Food Safety Management System [FSMS] understanding and implementation of initiatives globally.The Regional Hygiene Manager [AHM] is: A self-driven person that will develop an enterprise wide FSMS strategy. Execution of task with deep understanding of FSMS matters. Disrupting status by looking for new ways to engage all team members around FSMS agenda.Creating a collaborative environment where the full diversity of FSMS is shared and embraced by all team members globally in particular Culinary and Food & Beverage and in General Food HandlersJob Responsibilities Execute formulated strategy for the company's Food Safety projects. Responsible for providing supervision, direction and leadership focusing on Hygiene / Food & Beverage safety. Ownership of Hygiene Operating Manual and other relevant documentation. Responsible for the Food Safety Management System [FSMS] program/s. Identify and analyses potential hazards and risk areas using ISO 22000 and HACCP methodology. Train new business unit Culinary -F&B team members and Food Handler Mentor and train all Kitchen and Food & Beverage team members and Food Handlers, in ensuring food safety standards are adhered to in their respective countries. Require Traveling within Canada to all BU Act as a liaison and advisor with relevant departments and external parties where necessary Schedule and conduct FSMS visits per approved schedule. Drive the Continuous Improvement Programme with an established and dedicated team that has assisted in the company achieving FSMS. Support relevant sites with HACCP accreditation. Streamline online training requirements including visitation audits. (Internal & External) During visitations to conduct inspections of kitchens, food productions areas, stores, etc as well as observe food handlers and process. Issue a visitation report based on the standard checklist of inspection. Conducts orientation hygiene training and yearly refresher training for all culinary team members though L&D PPG Think Platform Management and achievement of KPIs, in relation to hygiene efficiencies, microbiological and quality through a continuous improvement approach. Understanding of stakeholder management and risk management. Act as Process Subject Matter Expert and technical support for all Hygiene related matters. Assist and develop corrective actions and compliance by working with business units as necessary. Work on development of materials, learning aids & ensuring training is recorded per L&D standards. Provides monthly reports on task achieved and recommendations on improvements and development needed. Recognizes key performers and mentors under performers to achieve the minimum standards. Manage all record keeping with regards to audits and assessments. (Internal & External) Management of monthly e-FSMS and Annual External Audit. Ensure all locations report on Hygiene Mystery Shoppers, Partnership Audits are reviewed and followed through with the respective business units. Prepare documentation to support quality audits for ISO or HACCP for locations if required. All Food Bourne Illness must be immediate reported [within 24 hours] from Country level to Regional Hygiene Manager who will work with the Country level Hygiene PIC.Qualifications needed Minimum 10 years management experience in an international chain hotel or Airline Food Catering industry in a Regional or Area role. Experienced in ISO 22000, the internationally recognized standard that combines the ISO9001 approach to food safety management and HACCP for the assurance of food safety at all levels. Pre-Opening or new project management experience. Bachelors degree in food science and/or Food Technology Understanding of HACCP qualification and HACCP experience from implementation to execution Possess good online training, on the job training and coaching skills Knowledge in Continuous Improvement (CI) initiatives Good command in English verbal and written to meet business needs. Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel. Strong analytical & data-driven mindset.
