Eligibility Note: To qualify for a student (Co-op/Internship) opportunity, students must be enrolled in their academic studies at a post-secondary institution (university/college) and must be returning to school after completion of their work term with QuadReal. If you are a student registered in an official co-op program at your post-secondary institution and completion of a final work term is a mandatory component for you to graduate, you are eligible to apply with the understanding that you will leave QuadReal at the end of your work term or have the possibility to be considered for full-time opportunities. Based in Calgary, the Co-op/Intern, Office and Industrial Leasing, will report to the Director, Leasing. In this role, you will play a vital role in supporting the Prairie Office & Industrial portfolio. Your responsibilities will include conducting in-depth analyses of portfolio and asset performance, preparing presentation materials, assisting with monthly and quarterly reporting requirements, preparing monthly marketing materials, brochures, events, monitoring/reporting on relevant industry trends, and supporting the leasing team in meeting its leasing objectives. Giving back to the community with your peers and team members through volunteering events Opportunities to build long-lasting industry and professional relationships What You Will Experience: Contribute to the preparation of annual leasing budgets, supporting the asset management team to develop business plans, lease deal approval memos, and presentation/reporting materials for key stakeholders Conduct building walkthroughs to update property information, create Matterport virtual tours, and identify signage and marketing opportunities Liaise with internal and external contacts to gather data, including corporation searches, credit reports, and property information Assist leasing team with monthly deal and lease trackers, including leasing reports, summaries, and stacking plans Analyze and review potential lease transactions as well as quarterly reports to monitor alignment to budget parameters and strategic plans as laid out in the business plans Gather market intelligence to understand the impact of each asset''s positioning relative to market rents, lease terms, vacancy, and supply/demand fundamentals Support event planning and execution, including pre-event coordination, on-site assistance, and post-event administration Assist in devising strategies for vacant and expiring spaces and engage with the brokerage community to provide information on available inventory and development projects in the pipeline Provide analytical support for the Prairie Region Office & Industrial development pipeline, including the preparation of Investment Committee materials Participate in local industry events and networking opportunities to build market knowledge and strengthen relationships What You Will Bring: Currently enrolled in an academic Business program preferably in Real Estate or Finance. Strong quantitative and analytical skills; detail-oriented and proficient in building and handling complicated data sets. Excellent communication and presentation skills; demonstrate an ability to effectively communicate and present results that articulate key themes and messages. Advanced knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint and Word; knowledge of Argus Enterprise a plus. Previous experience working within a real estate, real estate brokerage/leasing, appraisal firm, or real estate lender is desirable.
