Your Opportunity Stantec is looking to strengthen our Thunder Bay office by adding an experienced environmental practitioner who can bring senior-level expertise and leadership to the team. This role is all about impact, driving client relationships, guiding proposals and pursuits, providing technical direction on projects, and mentoring our talented local staff. You will collaborate with our established and growing team of practitioners in Thunder Bay, supported by a robust network of technical leaders across Ontario and the country. Your Key Responsibilities As a senior environmental practitioner, you will play a pivotal role in driving strategic growth and operational excellence. Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: Strategic Business Development: Champion a culture of business development by cultivating existing client relationships to identify new relationships to expand Stantec''s market presence. Client Engagement: Represent Stantec at key client meetings and within professional and industrial organizations to enhance visibility and influence. Stakeholder Communication: Serve as a liaison among internal teams, clients, regulatory bodies, and the public to ensure clear, consistent and effective communication. Strategic Collaboration: Work with Key Account Managers and Sector Leaders to align growth strategies, strategic initiatives and elevate client service and delivery. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across Ontario and Canada to deliver integrated and innovated solutions. Technical Leadership: Lead the preparation of technical proposals and project deliverables across sectors such as mining, infrastructure, forestry, oil and gas and industrial development. Team Development: Mentor and support staff through coaching and training, fostering a culture of continuous learning and high performance. Pay Transparency: In compliance with pay transparency laws, pay ranges are provided for positions in locations where required. Please note, the final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. At Stantec certain roles are bonus eligible.Actual compensation for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on the agreed number of working hours per week.
