As a Foreperson, you''ll be the driving force behind the success of our sheet metal teambalancing hands-on supervision, technical expertise, and leadership. You''ll ensure that work is completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest standard, while fostering collaboration and communication across all levels of the project team. Duties and Responsibilities: Lead and supervise sheet metal crews on active job sites Organize daily work plans, review blueprints, and ensure tools and materials are ready Enforce Modern Niagara''s safety standards and ensure all work complies with regulations Inspect and verify installations meet quality, design, and code requirements Communicate progress and updates to project teams and management Troubleshoot challenges and support efficient, practical solutions Mentor and support apprentices and team members in skill development Must haves: Journeyperson Sheet Metal Worker certification Proven leadership or foreperson experience in ICI settings for 5 or more years Strong ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications, and technical documentation Excellent communication, organization, and time management skills Experience in commercial or institutional projects is a strong asset Nice to haves: Previous experience leading crew in ICI or Large scale projects Local 496 Membership, or member in good standing Pay Rate for this unionized position is $47 About Modern Niagara Who We Are Modern Niagara helps building owners, managers, and general contractors meet the mechanical, electrical, integrated building technology, and building services needs of their buildings across Vancouver, Calgary, Edmonton, Toronto, Southwestern Ontario, and Ottawa.
