JOB TITLE: Senior Accountant LOCATION: Edmonton, AB POSITION SUMMARY: We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and outstanding individual with strong professional skills to join a fast-growing and dynamic team. In this role you will be responsible for accounting and analytical functions to support business monitoring as well as the management decision-making. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Accounts Receivables Generate and issue customer invoices accurately and on time Record and apply customer payments Prepare monthly AR reports, aging schedules, and collection forecasts Oversee dealer floorplan and retail financing programs with lending partners Accounts Payable Review, verify, and process vendor invoices for accuracy and proper authorization Record invoices and expenses in the accounting system Maintain accurate accounts payable records and supporting documentation Monitor accounts payable aging and ensure timely payments Process employee expense reports in accordance with company policy Reporting Performing account reconciliations and maintaining the general ledger. C omplete month-end, year-end closing work in accordance with relevant closing schedule Prepare management reports in accordance with group reporting requirements Prepare analytical reports for periodic business performance review Cashflow forecasting Other Provide timely and accurate information for internal and external audits, ensuring compliance with corporate policies, regulations, and financial standards. QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS: Bachelor''s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; professional certifications such as CPA, CFA, or an MBA are highly preferred. A minimum of 5 years of experience in treasury, credit control, or a similar role, with preference given to candidates with experience in the heavy equipment industry or a related field. Proficiency in ERP systems, with experience in SAP or Treasury Workstations considered a significant advantage. Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities, with a keen eye for detail. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with a wide range of stakeholders, including senior management, financial teams, and external partners. Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
