Overview: We are looking for a dedicated Personal Support Worker (PSW) to join our team and work in one of our Long-Term Care facilities in the Stouffville Area. The ideal candidate will have experience in patient care and possess the necessary skills to provide essential support to individuals in need. Responsibilities: Assist clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming Provide companionship and emotional support to clients Help with meal preparation and medication administration Perform light housekeeping tasks to ensure a clean and safe environment Support clients with mobility issues and assist with heavy lifting when necessary Implement care plans tailored to individual needs, including dementia care Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure the well-being of clients Skills: Prior experience in working at Long-term care facility or nursing home settings is required Ability to administer medications following prescribed guidelines Knowledge on how to use POC/PCC Documentation. Knowledge on how to us mobility machineries such as transfer lifts or hoyer lifts. Proficiency in providing dementia care and managing related behaviors.
