Job Description

Job Overview Solo family practice (affiliated with the Hamilton Family Health Team) is seeking to hire a Registered Nurse or Registered Practical Nurse for maternity leave coverage. As a Registered Nurse or Registered Practical Nurse you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care in a Family Medicine Setting. Duties Support clinical efficiency by triaging patient concerns by telephone and at reception according to established practice protocol Conduct thorough patient assessments and medical histories Incorporates objective findings such as laboratory and diagnostic findings, specialist reports and past history in a comprehensive assessment. Informs and educates patients regarding the meaning and implications of test results and interventions. Documents accurate and pertinent patient information in a timely manner, including maintaining a comprehensive health summary or patient profile. Provide direct and indirect care services (e.g., injections, dressing changes, assist with medical procedures). Administer medications and treatments accurately according to physician orders and established protocols Preparing and monitoring incoming prescriptions according to practice policy. Completes referrals or consults, lab requisitions, and diagnostic requisitions Completes insurance, Worker''s Compensation Board documents or other forms. Document all patient interactions thoroughly in accordance with legal and institutional policies Provide assistance to all team members, and other administrative duties as required. Qualifications RN or RPN in good standing and with current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO) Experience working in a family practice, community or primary health care setting Proficiency in management of electronic records (PS Suite EMR) Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare team members. Ability to handle multiple priorities efficiently while maintaining compassionate patient-centered care. Ability to work independently as well as part of a multidisciplinary team in fast-paced environments Job Type: Full-time Pay: From $28.00 per hour Work Location: In person
