Supervisor, Golf Outside Operations Under the supervision of the Head Golf Professional, Legends, the Supervisor, Golf Outside Operations is responsible for supervising the day-to-day operations of the starters, marshals, bag drop attendants, greeters, shuttle drivers and golf cart attendants. Ensures the golf cart fleet is in good working order, charged properly and communicates repairs required to the supervisor and or mechanic. Coordinate events and groups working closely with the Tournament Coordinator to ensure details are facilitated. Ensures sound policies are understood, implemented and adhered to while maintaining a high level of customer service. Operates efficiently to meet or exceed the acceptable standards of the NPC management and Commission. Niagara Parks offers an annual salary range of $63,727.53 to $76,136.23 for this position. QUALIFICATIONS: High School Diploma or Equivalent. Currently enrolled or achieved diploma/certification in Hospitality and Tourism OR Professional Golf Management would be considered an asset. Three (3) years of experience as a working supervisor or in a leadership position within the service industry dealing with the public. Proven leadership skills and the ability to direct and monitor performance of employees to ensure guest expectations are met. Proven customer service skills; self-motivated, strong leadership and supervisory skills, excellent interpersonal skills; ability to deal with the public using tact and diplomacy; conflict resolution skills, high level of professionalism and integrity. Previous practical experience and knowledge of daily golf operations at similar golf facility. KEY ACTIVITIES: Supervises the day-to-day outside operations of the guest services area including opening and closing procedures to ensure assets are accounted for and building is secure. Works closely and directs the workflow of all outside staff, starters, rangers, shuttle drivers, bag drop and cart cleaning staff to ensure a great guest experience. Works closely with the Tournament Coordinator to facilitate event requirements, set up, tear down, etc. Sets and sends weekly work schedules to golf operations staff, adjusts staffing levels, calls off staff, etc. to ensure efficient operations. Performs all HR / Payroll functions, inclusive of but not limited to, timecards, change of status, performance appraisals, performance management, coaching, training, etc. Monitors the pace of the play on the golf course and ensures rangers on duty are completing reports and providing updates on the status of time par on a regular basis. Participates in supervisor meetings to evaluate operations, provides input, and makes recommendations to promote continuous improvement. Monitors employee performance and communicates any concerns to the Head Golf Professional. Addresses guest complaints or escalated issues regarding pace of play or general course issues and comes up with a plan to resolve the concerns. Provides and maintains overall customer service satisfaction. Ensures the general housekeeping standards of the outside operations locations and cart building are maintained. Assists with policy enforcement when dealing with the presence of outside alcohol / intoxicated guests. Completes incident reports for guests and employees in the absence of the Associate Professional. Performs Other Related Duties As assigned.
