Business Affairs Manager (12-Month Maternity Leave Contract) The Business Affairs team of Blue Ant Studios is looking for a 12-month maternity leave cover for a Business Affairs Manager position. The role will support production tax credit filing across all genres of projects, collaborating closely with the finance department, ensuring the timely application for all third-party financing. This role will report to the Director, Business Affairs and is a hybrid position requiring in-office attendance at our head office in Toronto for a minimum of three (3) days per week. Salary Range $65K-$75K Vacancy Status Existing Position Core Responsibilities & Duties Federal & Provincial Tax Credit applications, including full CANCON and Services Tax Credits Being the main point of contact on Blue Ant''s productions to ensure we are being tax credit compliant (including reviewing DPRs, End Credits, and Financing Structures) Creating and reviewing tax credit calculations CRTC Applications, if required Third-Party Financing Applications, if required (Rogers Series Fund, Cogeco IPF, Canada Media Fund, etc.) Liaising with the Finance Department to assist with Financial Audits ISAN Applications Production Insurance Applications Tracking, coordinating, and submitting production deliverables to broadcasters, distributors, and funders. Coordinate invoicing per drawdown schedules. Qualifications and Experience Knowledge of the rules and administration practices across various agencies CRTC, CAVCO, Ontario Creates, CMF and various independent funds Exceptional organization and communication skills Able to work in fast paced environment, and to prioritize and manage competing deadlines and interests A detail-oriented self-starter who is flexible and adaptable A team player with a willingness to help other team members and business units with various tasks Knowledge of postproduction audit preparation process and applicable post project tax credit/funding collection and reporting processes would be considered an asset At Blue Ant Media, we believe promoting equity, diversity, and inclusion is everyone''s responsibility.
