Job Description

The Canadian Sheep Federation is building the implementation team for SheepTrace, Canadas national sheep traceability system.These roles will support the transition to CSF as Responsible Administrator and help the sector work through upcoming changes to federal traceability requirements. Its practical, hands-on work supporting producers and supply-chain partners as new systems, rules, and expectations come into play.This isnt a call-centre job. Its for people who understand livestock systems, can talk regulation in plain language, and are comfortable helping others work through change.What youll do:Support implementation of SheepTrace during the Responsible Administrator transitionHelp producers and supply-chain partners understand traceability and reporting requirementsAssist with onboarding, system use, and day-to-day reporting issuesWork with traceability data and system tools to support accurate reportingRepresent SheepTrace at industry meetings, presentations, and events (travel covered)Act as a steady, credible point of contact during system and regulatory changeCommunicate clearly in both English and FrenchWhat were looking for:Youre fluently bilingual in English and French and familiar with Canadian livestock production systems (sheep experience is an asset). You may have experience with regulated programs, compliance, or government-linked systems, or you may have gained that exposure through industry work. Youre organized, practical, and comfortable speaking with producers and industry partners, whether one-on-one or in group settings.Why this role is interesting:SheepTrace is at a pivotal stage. Its an opportunity to build experience across agriculture, regulation, and digital systems with room to grow as the program matures.Work setup & eligibility:These are home-based positions, with a home office stipend and required equipment provided. Applicants must be legally entitled to work in Canada, be based in Canada, and able to successfully obtain the required security clearance.
