This role will drive the creation of innovative design visions and briefs, informed by market research and buyer insights. Collaborating with internal teams and external partners, this position will lead architectural design development across Fusion Homes, designing all our residential homes from inception to delivery.As Lead Architectural Designer, you are a visionary architectural leader with a keen eye for every detail of the home from stunning elevations to intentional floor plans. You thrive on shaping spaces that inspire and transform a community. In this position, you will be the creative force behind Guelph Innovation District, one of the largest master-planned communities in Ontario, leading design efforts and bringing our vision to life.What Youll be Doing:Lead the architectural design of new low-, mid-, and high-rise residential products from concept through completion, including elevations, floor plans, site plans, and renderings.Conduct market and buyer research to inform design direction, establish design vision, and develop design briefs for new models and product lines.Manage all architectural design projectssetting timelines, overseeing external design partners, and ensuring deliverables meet quality, budget, and construction feasibility requirements.Collaborate with internal teams (land development, marketing, drafting, construction) and external stakeholders to deliver innovative design solutions within quality, timeline, and budget constraints.Review and update existing plans and perform site visits to ensure design accuracy, code compliance, and alignment with construction practices.What You Bring to the Table:Minimum 5 years of relevant experience (experience within the new home building industry with a focus on low-rise residential will be considered a strong asset).Proficiency with Revit preferred.Knowledge of Residential Construction and the Ontario Building Code required.
