Join our team as a Senior Payroll Consultant and play a pivotal role in shaping the future of payroll and benefits management for our clients! This full-time role is designed for a proactive consultant who thrives on collaboration, communication, and creating streamlined processes. Youll have the flexibility to work remotely while living in any of the vibrant Provinces with the opportunity to travel to support client projects. Role OverviewThe Senior Payroll Consultant plays a pivotal role in providing expert advice and support in Payroll, Tax, Human Resources, and Benefits administration. This position requires a strong focus on client advisory, leveraging subject matter expertise to drive customer success and strengthen partner relationships. The Senior Payroll Consultant is responsible for leading payroll processing support, documentation development, identifying and implementing process improvements, and ensuring compliance with tax and regulatory requirements. Cross-functional collaboration with the business development team is required to align client expectations with service deliverables and work to resolve client relations issues effectively. What Youll Do:Lead full-cycle Canadian and U.S. payroll administration and processing, ensuring accuracy and complianceIdentify and implement process improvements through your expertise, interviews, and detailed analysisSupport client audits, ensuring data integrity and regulatory complianceSupport system upgrades, consolidations, data migrations, and implementationsAlign client operations with federal, provincial, and territorial regulationsCollaborate with senior management, escalating concerns when neededDeliver training and develop key internal documentationProvide clear and actionable recommendations to enhance client operations QualificationsExpertise: 7+ years of payroll experience and a strong grasp of best practicesLeadership: Proven ability to manage staff, teams, or complex projectsTech-Savvy: Experience with payroll systems (strong preference for Dayforce and/or UKG) and strong skills in Microsoft Word and ExcelKnowledge: Payroll tax and human resources experience are strong assetsCertification: Canadian Payroll Association certification (PCP or CPM) or equivalent experience.Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
