PROJECT MANAGER Landmark Solutions Ltd (Landmark) is seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our team, with opportunities for growth across our Construction and other business sectors. The Project Manager will play a key role in driving project success across a diverse range of construction, natural resource, and marine disciplines. The ideal candidate will have comprehensive experience in project planning, budgeting, scheduling, and execution, combined with excellent communication and leadership skills. WHAT YOU WILL DO The Project Manager is an integral part of the Landmark team and will work closely with, and develop strong relationships among, internal and external stakeholders. This key role combines project planning, resource management, and leadership to ensure timely, cost-effective, and high-quality project delivery. The Project Manager will provide clear direction and guidance to project teams, taking full ownership of project outcomes from initiation through close-out. This role is responsible for ensuring all projects are executed in compliance with contractual obligations, safety requirements, applicable codes and regulations, and Landmarks quality standards. This position is based in Salmon Arm, with some out-of-town work required to support ongoing projects. Duties and skills include, but are not limited to: Duties and Responsibilities Work with safety as a top priority by working with Landmark management and construction teams to ensure implementation of the Landmark health and safety management program and other Landmark systems. Consistently collaborate with the Landmark construction team, subcontractors, and client representatives to meet project objectives and to ensure construction complies with drawings and specifications. Proactively facilitate effective communications between Landmark construction team, subcontractors, clients and suppliers. Responsible for the ultimate success of the project which includes safety, financial, schedule, productivity, and client approval on completion of the project. Visualize the entire project, formulate plans, and maintain a project schedule that identifies the critical path and anticipates constructability issues. Work with the Landmark construction team and Landmarks management team to resolve critical path issues or constructability concerns. Review and understand project contracts and subcontracts to develop work plans that identifies and mitigates risks while maximizing opportunities to ensure budgets and forecasts are met. Develop, implement, and update the Project Execution Plan and a resource-loaded rolling lookahead schedule which ensures compliance with budget, quality, and Landmark protocols. Maintain contract drawings, accurate site records, and fully understand contract specifications. Maintain project administration correspondence and complete Landmark reporting requirements (internal-external reporting). Procurement of construction materials. Job Requirements and Skills In-depth knowledge of and application of safety and environmental principles, procedures, and federal/provincial/municipal legislation. Proven success in developing and maintaining partnerships with internal and external stakeholders. Demonstrated ability to coordinate multiple scopes of a construction project, including scheduling, monitoring, and coordinating own forces work and subcontractors with rolling lookahead schedules. In-depth knowledge of and experience in the construction industry and company operations, including building materials, construction specifications, and methods and procedures. Strong attention to detail, deadlines and budgetary guidelines. Demonstrated ability to coordinate and lead effective site meetings with the Landmarks onsite Project Team and subcontractors and to represent Landmark at client meetings as required. Demonstrated conflict-resolution skills, problem-solving abilities, and professional judgment. Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Knowledge in MoTI, MMCD, and CCDC contract standards is considered an asset. Demonstrated ability to decipher design drawings, construction plans and contract documents. Demonstrated ability to develop relationships work well in a team environment. Proven ability to work effectively in both field and office environments. Physically fit and able to work outdoors in all weather conditions. Valid BC Class 5 Drivers License with clean driving record. Projects are located throughout western Canada and candidate must be willing to travel to project sites and on a shift work basis as required. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE Preferably, applicants will have an engineering degree in a related discipline with 3-5 years of related experience. Applicants with a Technical Diploma in a related discipline and 10 years of related experience will also be considered. Other combinations of experience and education will be considered.
