Job Description Summary As the Customs and Logistics Specialist you are an integral member of the transportation and logistics team and will collaborate across the organization to deliver excellent service to our stakeholders. This role will report to the Senior Operations Manager. You will oversee customs clearance for international shipments from all over the globe, stay current on regulatory changes, and help develop mitigation plans to ensure hospitals remain stocked across Canada. Responsibilities Auditing commercial documents, applying HS codes, and ensuring all federal requirements are met. Ensuring compliance with the Customs Act, Dmemo, Canadian Free Trade Agreements, CUSMA, and Customs Tariff Act through expert brokerage support. Working in conjunction with customs brokers and carriers to ensure freight is cleared on time, avoiding supplychain disruptions. Maintaining the CARM portal and setting delegation as necessary. Analyzing transportation data to predict future tariff impacts amid changing global circumstances. Developing and advising on mitigation plans for global and local policy changes. Assisting with customs technical and operational inquiries from team members. Performing other tasks as required. Education and Experience Required University degree in Logistics, Supply Chain or related field. 3+ years of relevant experience in a similar role within a large complex matrixed environment. Familiarity with CARM and CBSA regulations. Certified Customs Specialist (CCS) or Certified Trade Compliance Specialist (CTCS) designation. Knowledge and Skills Required Strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint). Excellent problemresolution ability, with experience multitasking and prioritizing. Excellent organizational, communication, and processmanagement skills. Strong timemanagement skills and ability to prioritize competing tasks in a fastpaced environment. Preferred Qualifications Experience in healthcare or medical device industries.
