The Senior Accountant will contribute to the overall efficient operations of the Finance department by maintaining the general ledger and month end close cycle, costings, and analysis of performance. The role also requires assisting theController in various projects within the organization, as well as meeting with different project managers, engineers, and business partners to work on analysis of jobs and measuring the performance of these jobs.You will:Work with the Controller on the Revenue Recognition and % Completions on Projects monthlyAssist in the preparation of the Monthly Financials as per requirements of managementMonthly job and project analysisPerform month end closing and ensure that all sub-ledgers were closed every periodAnalysis on expenses for Material, Labour, Indirect costs, SG&AAssist the Controller with the Cash Forecast, especially on milestone payments and ARPrepare Bank and Payroll reports in a timely mannerWork on various projects as assigned by ManagementPrepare data and reports for AuditLiaise with various departments to ensure closing is planned and done accordinglyPartner with each department, define the needs and provide adequate support for analysis and decision makingMonitor the PO receiving with Supply Chain to ensure POs are posted on time to get accurate FinancialsAssisting the Controller with Forecasting and Budgeting process and analysis requiredPrepare data needed for insurance renewalsFixed Assets maintenance and registersParticipate in project meetings and provide information to the group for decision making on projectsReview cycle count, full inventory count and adjustments in the systemAnalyze and identify employee inefficiencies and areas of concerns for managementYou have:Excellent interpersonal communication skills (both written and verbal)Demonstrated ability to work well in a team environmentAble to work without supervisionGreat attitude, willing to learn and help, calm under pressureAble to influence and motivate employees within the business unit/s while holding them accountable to commitmentsAble to deal with difficult situations in a positive mannerCandidate Must 'Haves':Degree in accounting or business administration or equivalentWorking towards completion of the CPA designation is desirableProject Costing Experience is required #J-18808-Ljbffr
