About The Role MacQuarriesPharmasaveGroup is 16 stores strong across Mainland Nova Scotia. We are currently looking for an Associate Buyer to join our growing team. Key Responsibilities Work closely with the Director or Merchandising to ensure the overall success of the stores. Focus on merchandising, ensuring there is adequate presentation of product, well displayed and available for optimal buying advantage and consumer demands. Fully understand margins ensuring we are in a competitive price position while still meeting the needs of the business. Ensure minimal unaddressed shelf vacancies and that the product is purchased and stocked properly to prevent this while adhering as closely as possible to all numerical/financial formulas and targets. Train, coach and guide employees in merchandising activities. Qualifications Knowledgeable about buying trends and anticipating customer needs. Excel, Office and BIS reporting systems are an asset. Ability to work in a collaborative team environment.
