Description Summit Air is recruiting a Seasonal Captain to join our United Kingdom based operations, supporting the Royal Air Force Falcons Parachute Display Team and UK Military Parachute Training programs. This is a once-in-a-career opportunity for a Canadian pilot to fly operational military parachuting missions and be a participant in air shows across the UK and Europe. You will work alongside some of the worlds most elite military parachutists, operating specialized aircraft in demanding, handson environmentsno automation, no autopilot, just pure flying. Contract Duration: March September (UK season), multi-season continuity preferred. If you are an experienced captain looking for flying that only a handful of pilots will ever experience, meaningful, challenging, and unlike anything available in Canada, this role delivers exactly that. The season typically includes travel throughout England and Scotland, Ireland, France, Belgium, Portugal, Switzerland, Slovakia, Czech Republic and includes iconic events such as Formula 1 at Silverstone. Essential Responsibilities Operate Dornier 228 and Skyvan aircraft safely and efficiently Stay current with all available flight information, including weather, and applicable NOTAMs where available, and determine fuel and oil requirements Complete the aircraft preflight inspection, as well as all postflight duties Work as a trusted leader and team member to ensure that customer objectives are accomplished safely Qualifications 1500 hours total time and 500 PIC time Eligibility to complete required police background screening for military base access Canadian Airline Transport Pilot License, Valid Class 1 Medical Previous experience with Dornier, Skyvan, Casa 212, Cessna 208 or Twin Otter or similar types considered an asset Previous experience with parachute flying operations considered beneficial Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with proven leadership ability Commitment to safety culture Preemployment Drug & Alcohol test UK or EU passport an asset Additional Information Summit Air, a member of the Ledcor Group of Companies, delivers customized fleet and aviation solutions safely and reliably to support Canadas North and beyond.
