Career in Assurance Work with a team of professionals who assist businesses in specific industry sectors with a wide range of accounting, regulatory and advisory services Be part of a unique work culture that challenges you to further your professional development and enlarge your chosen career path Be part of a fastgrowing environment with engaged professionals who are respected in their fields Develop solutions with clients and coworkers through collaborative debate and discussion Engage with clients on a variety of local and national projects Responsibilities Work with a broad range of charity, notforprofit and small business clients Prepare yearend financial statements and working paper files for audit, review and noticetoreader engagements Maintain accounting and bookkeeping records, including drafting journal entries and reconciling accounts Regularly prepare tax filings, including personal, corporate, trust, charity and NPO returns Provide solutions to clients about current business and financial conditions Work closely with clients and provide exceptional client service Work with clients in target industry sectors under varying reporting frameworks Build our reputation as the preferred business advisors in key sectors of our growing practice Qualifications Accounting diploma, certificate or equivalent experience in this field 13+ years of public practice experience preferred Experience with Caseware, Taxprep, QuickBooks and Simply Accounting is preferred Proficiency with MS Office, including Excel, Word and Outlook Strong bookkeeping and organizational skills Solid analytical skills, including ability to identify unusual transactions and ask clarifying questions Ability to work independently, prioritise multiple tasks and meet deadlines Client service focus, demonstrated initiative and a team player attitude Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written Strong commitment to excellence and attention to detail Experience with HST regulations and returns an asset Benefits Profit sharing, flex days, RRSP contributions, firmwide holiday closure, wellness benefits, conciergestyle benefits, and the ability to work from anywhere in Canada during the summer for four weeks.
