The Construction project Managerposition performs principal functions to ensure overall health & safety, ensure completion of construction projects on schedule and budget.Job Duties:Meet with the clients and head of departments to advise and identity the client requirementsEstimate high level budget and planning schedule to be presented for approvalPrepare the project charter and seek the approval form the clientInitiate the project and establish the communication plan including the project organizational chartApply the adequate PMP methods and knowledgeLead the tender process for consultants, designers, general contractors and subtradesPrepare the contractual documents and specify the contract type with its terms and conditionsPresent the enterprise with the supporting consultants to the different authorities and governmental bodies to acquire the corresponding permits for constructionEngage third parties quality control and ensure the implementation of the high quality best standard and practices throughout the project construction phasesSubmit the risk management plan and identify the risk trigger listControl the project progress within the estimated budget and according to the planning scheduleFollow up with the consultants conformity letters and ensure the project compliances with the applicable regulationsEnsure coordination with the company different departmentEnforce Health and safety regulation within the project construction phasesApply the adequate management methods to ensure RFI clarification and the implementation of all the correction action recommended at the NCR correction reportsDeliver the As built to the client department along with all the contacts, warranty and assets technical documentsClose the project professionally and ensure the completion of the hand over in an efficient approach and resultQualifications:Construction management or Engineering degree, civil or architecturalMinimum 4-5 years as Project Manager at General contracting corporationExperience in a commercial and industrial projectProject Management certification an assetKnowledge in geotechnical and Heavy industrial Equipment an assetStrong leadership skills within the field of expertiseAbility to organize, plan and prioritize work requirements effectively with minimal directionCritical thinking & problem-solving skills; attention to detail; ability to multi-taskStrong written and oral communication skillsExperience in estimating, planning approval processes and working within the regulatory process an assetRead and use AutoCad for sketches demonstrating and build/schedule MS ProjectKnowledge of OBC Code as well the ECA and conservation authority regulationFlexibility to travel on occasional weekendsJob 1899 #J-18808-Ljbffr
