As an Intermediate Mine Waste Engineer, you''ll help design and steward mine waste facilities that support responsible resource development across Canada and beyond. As our mining practice evolves, we''re seeking bold thinkers who bring technical leadership, curiosity, and care to complex challenges. Your Impact Design and oversee construction of tailings and waste rock containment systems that prioritize safety and sustainability Lead geotechnical investigations and stability analyses that inform long-term performance Develop integrated waste and water management strategies that align with environmental and regulatory standards Prepare clear, data-driven technical documentation and performance reviews Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across geology, water resources, and project delivery to deliver impactful solutions The Skills That Set You Apart Bachelor''s degree in Geotechnical, Civil, or Geological Engineering 57 years of experience in mine waste or geotechnical environments Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation or eligibility in Canada Familiarity with tailings dam design concepts, best practices, and guidelines Willingness to travel to project sites across Canada and internationally Clear, informed technical communication skills and a collaborative mindset Preferred: Master''s degree in a related field, experience with permitting and environmental regulations, and project execution leadership Why choose WSP?
