Key Responsibilities Responsible for all field operations to achieve timely and profitable completion of projects Maintain and promote a culture that promotes safety, quality, and environmental compliance for all staff, employees, subcontracts and clients while following all policies, procedures and regulations Oversee staff and project teams by carrying out supervisory responsibilities including interviewing, hiring and training employees and subcontractors; planning, assigning and directing work; providing feedback; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems Oversee all reporting requirements for all projects internally and externally Manage and maximize the use of company resources and support to effectively deliver projects on time and on budget Support strong relationship development between local Indigenous groups, communities and industry Support the creation of an accepting, respectful, non-judgmental and inclusive work environment Prepare reporting for leadership and present, as required Review contract documents and flag risks, gaps, and scope changes early for leadership awareness Provide clear technical guidance to leadership by translating projects concepts, drawings, and specifications into operational and financial impacts Oversee and Participate in the Tender Process, Budgets, Estimates, Construction Schedules, progress and monthly reports etc. for all projects company wide Maintain strong project controls, including cost tracking, forecasting, and progress reporting, ensuring leadership has clear visibility on project performance Set strategic goals for operational efficiency and increased productivity Plan, monitor, and analyze key metrics for the day-to-day performance of the operations to ensure efficient and timely completion of tasks Manage procurement processes and coordinate material and resources allocation Review financial reporting and adjust operational budgets to promote profitability Revise and/or formulate policies, procedures to promote their implementation Other tasks and duties as assigned. These duties may fall out of the scope as described to support the business in whatever capacity deemed required Job Requirements & Qualifications Qualifications Preferred engineering degree, MBA, or graduate of an applicable technical or business program; or an equivalent combination of education and related work experience Masterful organizational, communication, and leadership skills, demonstrated by previous professional success Leadership, management, and conflict resolution training are considered an asset Outstanding communication and people skills Valid drivers license Experience Minimum of 15 years experience in construction, industrial, mining, and forestry industries, with significant management and supervisory experience Minimum of 5 years experience in a similar role Proven understanding of estimating and project management theories, methodologies, and industry practices Proven understanding and experience relating to civil construction codes and practices, including but not limited to MMCD, CCDC, and other industry standard construction contract models and project specifications Strong understanding in developing and maintaining operational and project budgets and schedules Proven ability to work, build and maintain relationships with communities, including municipalities, Indigenous groups, and Industry Skills and Knowledge Comprehensive understanding of project and contract documentation, including contracts, drawings, specifications, subcontracts, etc. Excellent communication skills: written and verbal skills, listening skills, organization abilities, proven attention to detail, and ability to develop good working relationships with inside and outside organizations Significant knowledge of multiple operational functions and principles, including project and operational finances, client relations, production, and employee management Strong understanding and commitment to First Nations culture, history, and community development Working Conditions Salary Range: $140,000.00 - $160,000.00 Comprehensive Benefits package Competitive Vacation allotment Training & Career Development support Relocation Compensation considered Company Truck Job Type: Full-time, Permanent Benefits Dental care Employee assistance program Extended health care Life insurance Paid time off Relocation assistance Vision care Schedule: Monday to Friday; Weekends as needed Work Location: In person #J-18808-Ljbffr
