Job Description

The Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining safe, optimal and cost-effective manufacturing processes and methods in accordance with design specifications and quality standards. Responsibilities will include the design of tooling to support manufacturing processes, manufacturing layout drawings, and developing manufacturing processes for new products. MUST HAVE P.Eng or be within 6 months of receiving to be considered. Salary: The compensation for this role will be commensurate based on education and/or experience. RESPONSIBILITES What You''ll Be Doing: Ensures compliance with Badgers'' safety and high service standards. Researches, designs, and develops safe manufacturing processes, including production flow, assembly methods, welding processes, and production equipment. Leads and participates in hazard assessments for equipment implementation and process changes. Provide mentorship and guidance to EITs, including review and approval of designs and drawings Assist the quality team in creating quality control plans, performing PFMEA (Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis), conducting root-cause analysis, and advising on quality incident corrective and preventive actions Supports and may lead the manufacturing launch of new products, including establishing goals, training team members, and evaluating results. QUALIFICATIONS What You''ll Need For Success: Education in Manufacturing, Industrial, or Mechanical Engineering Degree from an accredited University or Institute. 5+ years of professional experience in a manufacturing environment. Registered as a Professional Engineer with APEGA or another Canadian equivalent. CAD experience, including assemblies, weldments, FEA (finite element analysis), drawings, layouts, and standardized drafting practices (SolidWorks preferred). Experience with existing manufacturing technologies, including CNC equipment, welding, joining, metalworking, manual assembly, coatings, robotics, and injection moulding. Strong project management skills, ability to organize and manage multiple projects. Creative and innovative thinker. Effective verbal and written communication skills. Sound technical background (hands-on) with logical deductive reasoning approach. Interest in developing technical skills through both internal and external training. Ability to work in both a team environment and independently. Strong working knowledge of common software packages (MS Office, Acrobat, etc.).
