JobOverview Reporting to the National Safety Program Development Manager, as the Construction Safety Officeryou will monitor and enforce compliance with Qualico''s Safety Program at all assigned work sites. You also promote a safe and healthy workplace culture, and leverage opportunities to continually improve workplace safety. Yourday-to-dayresponsibilitieswill include: Conductingsiteandlocationsafetyinspectionstoassessanddocumentallinformationintothe safety inspection system. Rectifyinganyunsafeconditionsoracts,andtakingimmediatemeasurestomitigaterisksand hazards when necessary. Enforcingpoliciesandlegislativerequirementstotradesandallindividualsassignedtocompany sites/facilities. MaintainingupdateddocumentationoftheworksiteJointSafety&Healthcommitteemeetings for assigned work sites and locations. Administeringfirstaidasrequiredandappropriate. AssistingintheimplementationofinternalandexternalCertificateofRecognition(COR)audits. Investigatingworkplaceincidentsandreportsofhazardousactsorconditionsinaccordancewith Safety Program requirements. EvaluatingtheeffectivenessoftheSafetyProgramprocedures,andinitiatingchangesfor continuous improvement. NationalConstructionSafetyOfficer(NCSO)Certification. StandardFirstAidCertification. Minimum3yearsofrelevant construction/manufacturing experience. Validdriver''slicenceandaccesstoreliablevehicle. Satisfactoryverificationofcriminalrecordcheck anddriver''sabstract. ProficientinMicrosoftOfficePrograms(Outlook,Word,Excel,Teams,SharePointand PowerPoint).
