Who You Are A pragmatic problem solver. You prioritize shipping high-value, functional solutions over theoretical perfection, understanding that in a vertically integrated business, software is the engine that keeps trucks rolling and technicians moving. An efficiency obsessive. You have a low tolerance for repetitive manual tasks; when you see an operations team wrestling with spreadsheets or manual data entry, your immediate instinct is to architect an automated workflow to replace it. An empathetic collaborator. You are eager to step out of the code editor and into the shoes of your userswhether they are dispatchers, warehouse managers, or field techniciansto understand their friction points and build tools that genuinely make their jobs easier. What We Need Full-cycle automation experience. Proven ability to build and maintain internal tools and robust APIs that connect disparate business functionsfrom inventory management and supply chain logistics to automated dispatching and billing systems. Complex logic modeling. A strong background in translating messy, real-world business requirements into clean, scalable code structures, specifically for event-driven architectures where a digital action triggers a physical result (e.g., parts ordering or fleet routing). Reliability at scale. An engineer who writes testable, resilient code that ensures high uptime for critical operations, knowing that our software is the ''central nervous system'' of the company and downtime means stopping the business. Comfort with on-call responsibility. Our salespeople, technicians, and support agents need to be available around the clock to ensure our customers remain happy and comfortable. When production issues arise, we need engineers who can quickly diagnose, resolve, and ensure they don''t happen again. How You Will Grow The blueprint of vertical integration. You will gain a rare, end-to-end view of how to digitize a massive legacy industry, learning how to build an ''Operating System'' for a business that controls everything from the factory floor to the customer''s living room. Physical-digital bridging. You will learn the complexities of writing software that interacts with the physical world, mastering the logistics of inventory flow, fleet management, and IoT device integration within a modern HVAC context. Rapid feedback loops. Unlike consumer software where user feedback can be vague, you will learn to iterate at lightning speed by working side-by-side with your internal users, seeing the immediate tangible impact of your automation on company efficiency and profit.
