Title: Solutions Architect Reports to: Director of Solutions Architecture Based at: 135 Michael Cowpland Drive, Suite 200 This role is a new addition to our organization. We are looking for a Solutions Architect that identifies and addresses technical challenges within assigned accounts to ensure customer success throughout the entire sales lifecyclefrom initial discovery and solution design through proposal development. The role establishes trusted advisor relationships with client stakeholders, influences solution direction, and leads the design of integrated solutions leveraging Storage, Networking, and Compute platforms to meet customer requirements. Job purpose: The Solutions Architect is a presales technical leader responsible for translating customer business objectives into differentiated, value-driven technology solutions. This role partners closely with Sales, enterprise clients, and technology partners to articulate solution outcomes and value propositions to both business and technical stakeholders. Responsibilities / Activities Confer with customers and Consultants to assess business needs and determine system requirements. Architect solutions working closely with the Sales team and the customers. Collaborate with the Sales team to understand customer requirements, promote company products, and provide technical sales support. Assist with technical scoping and review for Statement of Work (SOW) for professional services. Identify resale opportunities and support them to achieve sales plans. Assist with the preparation and delivery of technical presentations of products and services to customers. Recommend hardware, software and services to customers as well as document how such changes will lower costs or increase production. Assist the Sales team with positioning products requiring extensive technical expertise or multi-vendor solutions. Provide technical and non-technical assistance and advice to clients or team members regarding the use, the setup, and maintenance of the recommended solutions. Periodically prepare technical presentations for products. Responsible for RFP technical responses and reviews. Attend product certification courses and effectively hold certificates for PureLogic IT. Attend company training seminars to become familiar with product lines. Keep up to date on industry news and trends, products, services, competitors, relevant information about legacy, existing and emerging technologies, and the latest product-line developments. Skills and Attributes Ability to obtain a government of Canada Security clearance level II Minimum 5 years experience in system administration e.g.: servers, storage, hypervisors, networking, Linux or Windows. Minimum of 2 years experience in architecting and configuring server solutions such as Dell EMC PowerEdge, HPE Synergy/Proliant, and Cisco UCS. Experience designing and sizing enterprise server and storage solutions for specific client workloads and requirements. Experience installing and administering VMware, Linux, or Microsoft server solutions. Experience in architecting or deploying hyper-converged solutions such as VSAN, Nutanix, or CEPH. Have an understanding and willingness to learn Software Defined Solutions including VMware and Redhat on X86 servers. Experience developing data center solution architecture (Servers, storage, software) and producing detailed bills of materials (BOMs) based on client requirements. Experience with one or more configuration tools such as Dell solutions configurator, HPE OCA, NetApp Ascend, and Cisco CCW. Experience working and/or selling to the Federal Government. Post-Secondary education in a computer related field or equivalent experience. Bilingualism (English and French) is an asset. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
