Toromont Power Systems is looking for Apprentice Technicians to join our team The Apprentices will train with our trusted Power SystemsTechnicians in the shop and maintain steady progression into a licensed technician position in order to safely and effectively diagnose and repair customer power system equipment in a timely manner. Job Type: Full-time, Permanent Compensation: starting at 27.56$/Hr As an Apprentice Technician,Power SystemsYOU will experience: Working within one of the safest organizations in the industry where your safety and well-being are our most important priority Working for the best in class equipment dealer and with the premium Caterpillar brand Opportunities to continuously Learn, Grow and Develop with our Toromont team through our internal Training teams that are geared for your success Competitive total rewards including: wages, benefits, and premiums (as eligible) An opportunity for flexible work schedules and opportunities across multiple locations across Eastern Canada In a typical day, YOU will: Participate in safe, environmentally sound and healthy work behaviors at all times, in support of Toromont''s Health and Safety Policies, Programs and initiatives Assist Technicians in conducting preventative maintenance and repairs on gensets, industrial engines Marine engines, controls and other auxiliary equipment, including Automatic Transfer Switches Switchgear and Uninterruptible Power Supplies Perform basic troubleshooting for all equipment and use Cat, calibrating and other testing equipment Diagnose mechanical, electrical and electronic problems Provide detailed service reports and other documentation in an accurate and timely manner Interpret electrical schematics and wiring diagrams as required Ensure internal and external customers'' requirements are met in an efficient, knowledgeable andprofessional manner Must-haves for this role: Completed a high school COOP related to heavy equipment mechanics, engine mechanics, generator servicing or related technical field OR Post secondary education on Electrical Systems or College Electrical Program specializing in Generator Systems or Diesel Engines About Toromont Cat Power Systems Toromont Cat Power Systems is an industry leader in the supply and integration of backup and prime power generation systems, rental generators, marine engines and industrial engines through customized engineering and packaging.
