Company Description Soufriere Kids Development Bilingual Child Care Centre (SKD Bilingual Inc.) provides a unique French Immersion curriculum in all classrooms, featuring activities such as art, crafts, music, daily outdoor play, science, and phonics programs, as well as field trips and summer camps. The center is dedicated to fostering a nurturing and inclusive environment for children to learn and grow. Prior knowledge of the French language is not a requirement for staff members. Role Description This is a full-time, on-site position located in Oshawa, ON. As a Registered Early Childhood Educator, you will be responsible for implementing age-appropriate learning activities, ensuring the safety and well-being of children, and fostering a positive and stimulating environment. Daily duties include planning and leading activities, monitoring developmental milestones, and creating a nurturing atmosphere that promotes emotional, social, physical, and cognitive development. Qualifications Strong Interpersonal Skills and the ability to communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues Knowledge of Early Childhood Development and best practices for fostering growth and learning Demonstrated Creativity Skills and the ability to design engaging educational activities Experience Working With Children and promoting their safety, health, and well-being Strong Organization Skills for planning, recordkeeping, and maintaining a structured environment Registered Early Childhood Educator (RECE) or equivalent qualifications required CPR and First Aid Certification preferred Ability to work collaboratively with a team in a bilingual childcare setting is an asset
