As PaintScout scales, predictable revenue and a strong sales system are critical to our growth. About the Role The Sales Manager helps PaintScout grow consistently, predictably, and profitably. This role exists to turn sales effort into repeatable results. As we scale, we need more than talented individual sellers we need structure, coaching, accountability, and clarity across the sales motion. This role doesn''t just help close deals. It builds a sales system that works without heroics. You''ll lead, coach, and develop the sales team while owning the sales process, pipeline health, and revenue execution. Responsibilities Sales Leadership & Execution Own and oversee the full sales cycle: lead qualification, discovery, demos, proposals, and closes. Ensure a consistent, professional sales experience for every prospect. Own sales process adherence and continuous improvement. Act as the internal voice of sales performance and pipeline health. Team Leadership & Coaching Support and develop sales reps so they can do their best work. Set clear expectations, targets, and performance standards. Monitor KPIs per rep, including pipeline, close rate, deal size, activity, and conversion. Coach on discovery, objection handling, pricing confidence, deal strategy, and curiosity-led selling. Address performance issues early and constructively. Own escalations and complex deals when needed, with a focus on teaching rather than rescuing. Systems & Process Improvement Evaluate and improve sales workflows, tools, and CRM usage. Ensure common objections, pricing questions, and deal blockers are documented and repeatable. Work closely with Marketing to improve lead quality and messaging alignment. Partner with Customer Experience to improve handoffs and reduce post-sale friction. Revenue & Forecasting Own pipeline health, forecasting accuracy, and revenue pacing. Identify leading indicators, not just lagging results. Help design and execute plans to improve close rates, deal size, and sales velocity. Ensure pricing integrity and value-based selling across the team. Communication & Alignment Ensure reps clearly understand product positioning, ICP, and value propositions. Translate company strategy and product updates into clear sales direction. Reduce confusion, misalignment, and ''everyone selling it differently.'' How This Role Operates Daily: Coach reps, review deals, remove blockers, maintain pipeline visibility. Weekly: Review performance, pipeline, forecasts, and trends. Improve scripts, process, and tools. Collaborate with Marketing and CX. Monthly: Review sales trackers, submit commissions to payroll, set new quotas and sales incentives. Quarterly: Review sales performance, conversion metrics, and revenue strategy. Help shape hiring, compensation, and growth plans. Qualifications Experience leading or managing a sales team in a B2B SaaS or high-velocity sales environment. Strong understanding of full-cycle sales processes and pipeline management. Proven ability to coach, develop, and hold sales reps accountable. Comfortable using data to drive decisions while remaining people-first. Clear, calm, and confident communicator. Structured and organized without being rigid. Passion for helping teams improve and win consistently. Experience working cross-functionally with Marketing, Product, and Customer Success. Bonus Skills (Nice to Have) Experience selling to small businesses or contractors. Familiarity with CRM tools and sales analytics.
