Job Summary One of our public sector clients is seeking a highly experienced Senior Technology Architect to provide expert-level administration and operational support for IBM RACF in a large-scale z/OS mainframe environment. The successful candidate will play a critical role in securing mission-critical systems, supporting compliance requirements, and mentoring technical teams across the organization. Key Responsibilities Provide expert-level administration and operational support for IBM RACF within the client''s mainframe environment. Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve complex RACF security issues, including access violations, improper access denials, and audit findings. Implement and manage SSL/TLS certificate renewals within the mainframe environment. Participate in incident, problem, and change management activities, including CRQs, implementation planning, and root-cause analysis. Provide on-call Level-2 RACF support in a 24x7 mission-critical environment. Support disaster recovery, business resumption planning, and annual contingency testing related to RACF. Provide technical consultation, mentoring, and guidance to IAMP staff, ITS teams, and authorized stakeholders. Develop, maintain, and deliver complete and up-to-date RACF documentation, including procedures, standards, runbooks, and knowledge-transfer artifacts. Actively support knowledge transfer activities to ensure operational continuity. Required Skills & Experience 1. RACF Technical Expertise (40%) 15+ years of hands-on experience administering IBM RACF in z/OS mainframe environments. Proven proficiency with the IBM zSecure suite for RACF auditing, reporting, and automation. 2. Mainframe Systems Knowledge (40%) Demonstrated experience supporting large-scale mainframe environments. 10+ years of experience in complex mainframe initiatives, including installations, setups, migrations, and upgrades. Strong understanding of z/OS system internals, including TSO/ISPF, JCL, JES2/JES3, and general mainframe architecture. Hands-on experience with security utilities such as IRRUT200, IRRUT400, RLIST, and SETROPTS. 3. Security & Compliance Experience (10%) Experience supporting regulatory and compliance frameworks such as SOX, PCI DSS, and HIPAA. Solid understanding of access control best practices and security risk management. 4. Communication & Interpersonal Skills (10%) Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to clearly translate technical security risks into business impact for both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Must-Have Qualifications 15+ years of IBM RACF administration experience on z/OS Proficiency with IBM zSecure Extensive experience supporting large, complex mainframe environments Strong z/OS, TSO/ISPF, JCL, JES2/3 knowledge Excellent stakeholder communication skills.
