Diamond Petrochemicals Canada Corporation (''DPCC'') is a Canadian company with manufacturing facility located in Sarnia, Ontario. DPCC was established in 2020 to own and operate Canada''s sole 1,3-Butadiene extraction unit. 1,3-Butadiene is a raw material for synthetic rubber, and it is found in production of tires as well as in many essential industrial and consumer goods. In this role, HR & Administration Manager will be primarily responsible for the administration all human resources activities and programs. In addition, the Manager will be responsible for general office administration. ACCOUNTABILITIES Labour relations management including assisting Management and Supervisors in the interpretation of the collective bargaining agreement (CBA) to ensure adherence. Provide advice on labour relations issues. Investigate and assist in resolving grievances. Administration of the collective agreement including ensuring payroll is executed in accordance with the CBA. Prepare payroll data file for both salary and hourly employees. Employee benefits plan administration for group insurance & pension. Employee performance management, training and development. Compensation Management Facilitate the recruitment process. Develop, implement and maintain HR policies, programs and procedures. Provide consistent advice and assistance to employees and Managers/Supervisors on HR policies, programs and procedures. Resolve employee conflicts or issues in a timely and appropriate manner. Maintain knowledge of legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting the human resources function and ensures policies, procedures and reporting are in compliance. WSIB duties including conducting investigations relating to HR policy including health & safety and other workplace incidents, return to work plans etc. Work with the Health, Safety and Environment Manager to manage workplace health & safety in the office. General office administration including ordering supplies, office equipment etc. Organize Company events, luncheons and celebrations. Chairperson of the DPCC Social Committee. Other duties as required. QUALIFICATIONS Minimum of 7 years of progressively responsible HR generalist roles, including 2 years at a Managers level. Post-secondary education in Human Resources or Labour Relations. HRPA designation preferred. Experience working in an unionized environment is required. HRIS and payroll related experience. Pro-active self-starter with experience creating and implementing HR processes. Excellent organizational, communication and interpersonal skills are required.
