The incumbent must effectively and efficiently manage the development and direction of the operational team to meet production targets and technical productivity. He/she must ensure that all departments under his/her control are compliant with all applicable legislation, including but not limited to Occupational Health and Safety. Qualifications: Production experience preferred. Direct working knowledge of operations. Knowledge of supplies, equipment, and/or services ordering, as well as inventory control of these items. Good written and verbal communication skills. Accurate and highly analytical. Experience in supervising and mentoring. Strong work ethic and positive team attitude. Knowledge of the standard methods, materials, tools, equipment and procedures utilized with pipe. Knowledge of occupational hazards and safety precautions which are applicable to the work. Ability to work overtime. Must be able to pass pre-employment drug test. Physical Demands Raise/lower or move objects horizontally. Frequent wrist/hand motions. Ability to respond quickly to sounds. Must be able to move safely over uneven terrain or in confined spaces. Visual acuity required for accuracy and thoroughness of work. Standing/walking for more than 90% of shift, including long distances. Ability to work in extreme weather. Work Environment: Active industrial shop with exposure to dust, noise, varying temperatures, and heavy machinery. Frequent use of PPE including gloves, safety glasses, hearing protection, and dust masks as required.
