This is an exciting opportunity for these students to work in a healthcare environment where they can develop and consolidate competencies to prepare for their future careers in healthcare. Work alongside physicians, epidemiologists, and other healthcare providers to help implement and evaluate multiple innovative projects. Please note this position is dependent on funding from the Canada Summer Jobs program and candidates must meet the criteria of the program to be eligible. Qualifications Currently enrolled in an undergraduate program. Knowledge of MS Office Suite (word processing, excel) and an aptitude for software applications. Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently Ability to work independently and effectively communicate with other members of the health care team. Demonstrated commitment to confidentiality and data integrity Duties And Responsibilities Including but not limited to: Conduct literature review, surveys and other research for quality improvement, database development, and community based health and wellness initiatives. Assist in data collection, tracking, and analysis as well as organizing and prioritizing multiple concurrent projects. Assist in writing and preparation of journal articles or papers to be used in scholarly publications. Work with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals, the candidate will take on a leadership role while coordinating the division and delegation of tasks and making decisions around research activities.
