Our Values: CARE: Collaboration, Accountability, Respect, and Empathy Position Purpose: The volunteer Administrative Assistant provides administrative support to Client Services and the Provincial Office of the Alzheimer Society of Alberta & Northwest Territories (AS ABNT) In support of the AS ABNT mission, this volunteer position is critical to supporting people living with dementia and their care partners by acting as the first point of contact for clients and visitors. As a volunteer you will provide excellent front-level service to create a warm and welcoming environment. This position also supports day-to-day organizational and administrative activities that ensure we are providing person centered support to every person who contacts AS ABNT. Tasks / Responsibilities: The responsibilities of the administrative assistant include, but are not limited to: Greet and assist clients and visitors Answer incoming calls and inquiries and redirect as appropriate, providing basic information on programs and services and answering general questions about donations, etc. Oversee reception email inbox, primarily redirecting to appropriate staff or completing client program registration General office administration support including client information package preparation and mailing, management and display of information for clients, creation of program binders, office phone coverage Location / Setting: Edmonton office in front-end reception area. Primarily sitting at a desk using computer and phone throughout volunteer hours. Commitment/Availability: The right volunteer needs to be able to commit to a minimum once a week shift.
