This individual will play a key role in identifying, attracting, and hiring skilled trades and technical professionals essential to the companys daily operations.The ideal candidate has a proven background in sourcing trades talent (e.g., maintenance technicians, mechanics, electricians, millwrights, equipment operators), ideally within logistics, warehousing, transportation, or manufacturing environments.Salary or Salary Range:$85,000 to $90,000Key ResponsibilitiesTalent Sourcing & RecruitmentDevelop and execute recruitment strategies to attract top skilled trades professionals within the logistics industry.Source candidates using a variety of methods, including job boards, skilled-trade networks, social platforms, community outreach, and industry partnerships.Manage full-cycle recruitment from intake to offer: posting, screening, interviewing, reference checks, and presenting recommendations.Build and maintain pipelines for high-demand roles such as mechanics, maintenance technicians, material handling technicians, forklift specialists, and warehouse equipment repair professionals.Conduct proactive outreach and relationship-building to ensure ongoing access to qualified trade talent.Stakeholder ManagementPartner with hiring managers to understand role requirements, workforce needs, and department priorities.Provide guidance on labour market trends, compensation expectations, and competitive hiring practices in the GTA logistics sector.Communicate regularly with internal stakeholders regarding candidate progress, challenges, and recruitment outcomes.Process & ComplianceMaintain accurate ATS records and ensure recruiting processes meet HR and compliance standards.Support employer branding initiatives to enhance the companys profile within the skilled trades community.Recommend process improvements to optimize the candidate experience and recruitment efficiency.Qualifications35+ years of recruiting experience, including demonstrated success hiring skilled trades professionals.Experience recruiting in logistics, warehousing, transportation, or industrial environments is strongly preferred.Strong sourcing skills with the ability to identify passive talent through social media, job boards, associations, and community networks.Knowledge of GTA labour markets, especially skilled trades availability and competitive conditions.Excellent communication, relationship-building, and stakeholder-management skills.Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced, high-volume recruitment environment.Familiarity with ATS platforms and strong organizational skills.AODA Our client is committed to fair and equitable recruiting practices in accordance with the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disability Act (AODA).
